Northeast Window and Door Association Revises Mission StatementSeptember 12th, 2013 | Category: Industry News
The Northeast Window and Door Association (NWDA) recently created and adopted a new mission statement, which it says reflects the association’s broadened organizational scope and redefined strategic direction.
“The new Mission Statement includes many of the Board’s new strategic initiatives,” says Steve Chen, president of NWDA and executive vice president of Crystal Window and Door Systems. “NWDA has broadened its geographic scope to cover not just the window and door manufacturers in the northeastern states, but also adjacent regions in the United States and Canada. We are also correcting the organization’s traditional perception of membership, which was believed to be vinyl-only manufacturers, to include door and window manufacturers of other materials such as wood, aluminum and fiberglass or companies with mixed product lines.”
The revised mission statement reads, “Encompassing the northeast states and adjacent regions in the USA and Canada, the Northeast Window & Door Association serves fenestration manufacturers, related component suppliers and industry service providers regardless of company size or product mix. The organization strives to provide its members with timely and relevant industry information and education, advocacy on critical legislative and regulatory issues, important networking amongst decision makers and represents them in alliances with other organizations sharing our common interests.”
