Masonite Pittsburg Plant to Add More than 65 New JobsFebruary 6th, 2012 | Category: Industry News
Masonite Corp. announced that it is consolidating glass production and shifting some steel door production from its Charlotte, N.C., facility to its Pittsburg, Kan., operation.
“We plan to add 65 or more assembly, maintenance, shipping and administrative jobs over the next four months,” says Steve Cox, plant manager. “Our team is ready for the challenges this growth in production will bring.”
“We are excited about the Masonite expansion,” says Mark Turnbull, director of Economic Development for the City of Pittsburg. “The impact of the additional jobs is greatly needed by our community. The recession has been difficult, however, with resilient employers like Masonite, we are bouncing back.”
The company says it will take applications at the Masonite facility at 911 E. Jefferson St., Pittsburg, 66762, or through the Manpower office at 4007 Parkview Drive, Pittsburg, KS, 66762. Hiring for the new positions is expected to begin this month.
