The Door and Hardware Institute (DHI) and the Door Security and Safety Foundation (DSSF) recently have had several management changes.
Stephen R. Hildebrand of DHI has assumed the role of executive vice president, focusing on brand value and awareness, revenue development and strategic marketing initiatives.
Sharon Newport has been named director of operations, focusing on improvements in operational efficiencies for both organizations.
Julie Walter is now the director of events and is responsible for all activities including the industry convention CoNEXTions, the Executive Summit, all DHI Board of Governor and committee meetings, as well the Foundation Board of Trustees meetings.
Hanne Sevachko assumed the position of education manager and will be responsible for all educational delivery activities including online and technical schools, DHI chapter and in-house programs, as well as providing education and career development counseling to our members.
After seven years as managing director of the DSSF, Bill Johnson has left to pursue other opportunities.
“We thank [Johnson]for his service and wish him well in his future endeavors. For the foreseeable future, Jerry Heppes, CAE will take over responsibilities of the daily operation of the Foundation in addition to his duties as CEO of DHI,” reads a release from DHI/DSSF.
“These changes will strengthen the DHI and Foundation management team and improve the products and services that comprise the value proposition of membership in DHI and the advocacy activities of the Foundation,” continues the release.
