Jackson Speaks at AAMA ConferenceApril 4th, 2013 | Category: Event News
Ric Jackson, director of external affairs and government relations for Houston-based Quanex Building Products, spoke yesterday at the 2013 American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) Southeast Region Spring Meeting in Orlando.
Jackson’s presentation, titled “Trends Impacting the Fenestration Market- Energy Star v6, Most Efficient Recognition Program and DOE Building Technologies Programs,” addressed the challenges currently facing the fenestration industry, as well as how new regulations are shaped by key influencers during the regulation proposal process.
“Today the fenestration industry is dealing with a slow recovery in the new construction and renovation markets, in addition to new Energy Star regulations, proposed to go into effect in 2014,” said Jackson. “We want to keep the fenestration market informed on the latest developments with codes and compliances and provide them with the necessary tools to make a smooth transition if manufacturers need to consider a complete system overhaul to meet new standards.”
The AAMA Southeast Region 2013 Spring Meeting ran Monday to Wednesday of this week.
