I take Christmas Personal
Sending Christmas cards or Holiday Greeting e-mails to customers is great but nothing beats a phone call. It is impossible to visit all of your customers during the month of December and this is why we have Christmas cards. However, I have found that nothing is better than a phone call to convey a special holiday greeting…but don’t ask for an order when you do it!
Taking time to get in touch with a customer on a one to one basis just to let them know how much you appreciate their business and the mutually beneficial relationship that you share is a great way to help solidify a business relationship.
This is also a great time of year to reflect together on how the passing year played out and what types of programs need to be put into place to help your customer succeed in the years ahead. By focusing in on your customers’ needs and directing your efforts toward customer solutions, you will see your business steadily growing almost on autopilot!
He who focuses on solving customer needs seldom has to ask for orders.
Customers can truly sense when you are sincerely interested in focusing in on their future needs in an effort to help them succeed in the marketplace. This helps solidify your relationship with customers and elevates your position from just that of a supplier to that of a business partner.
Suppliers can easily be replaced, but business partners cannot!
So, go ahead and mail out those holiday cards, but also pick up the phone and light up the cell towers – call your customers and wish them a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas everyone!
