Hansons Windows announced it has donated windows to the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Southeastern Michigan. In the partnership with RMHC of Southeastern Michigan, Hansons Windows is replacing more than 20 windows in the Detroit house. In addition to the upgrades in the home where families will reside while their child is being cared for, Hansons Windows is also replacing windows in the home of RMHC’s resident manager. The donated project is valued at $25,000 in materials and labor.

“The donation of windows to Ronald McDonald House Charities by Hansons Windows is incredibly helpful in this economic environment,” says Jennifer Litomisky, executive director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southeastern Michigan. “This will help keep our families safe and comfortable throughout the year.”

RMHC provides housing for families with critically ill children at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. The RMHC fulfills its mission by providing a home-away-from-home for families of children in treatment; managing programs that help deliver health services to children in underserved communities and providing support to organizations for programs that help children live happier, healthier lives.

“Children are the most important thing in life,” says Brian Elias, founder and president of Hansons Windows. “As a dad, I try to provide and nurture my child as much as possible and I wanted to do something to help those people who are trying to do that for their own children.

“This was an opportunity to partner with an amazing organization and put our skills to use for the good of our community,” Elias adds.
