Hal Shackelford to Retire from MMPAFebruary 4th, 2014 | Category: Industry News
Hal Shackelford of Sherwin-Williams Co. has announced his retirement from the Moulding and Millwork Producers Association (MMPA).
“Well, the time has come as the children’s author Marvin K. Mooney would say, to retire and express my sincere gratitude to everyone for the many wonderful years of friendship and fellowship experienced with all of the different members and associates of MMPA. My wife and I plan to move from that large metropolitan complex of Krum, Texas, down to that ‘tiny’ town called Austin as soon as possible to be with our son, about five hours south,” Mooney says.
“Our association is in good hand and the new business model of plant tours being added will probably add much substance and quality to future meetings and will increase attendance,” he adds. “There has always been a great camaraderie with our group like no other trade association to which I’ve belonged.”
