Chelsea Building Products has announced that Gary Hartman will now serve as the company’s director of marketing and new business development. Hartman began his career in the door and window industry 30 years ago and has accumulated experience in marketing, sales and product management.
“Gary’s extensive knowledge and broad background in the fenestration and building products industry will be a benefit to his new responsibilities in new business development,” says Abels. “Gary will continue to be an asset to Chelsea Building Products as we expand our specialty products division that includes vinyl cellular PVC and polymeric cladding applications.”
A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in marketing, Hartman began his career in the window industry with Season-All Industries in 1983. He worked at Chelsea from 1985-1995 having held many sales and marketing positions. From 1995–2008, he continued to work in the fenestration industry where he held positions such as product manager, sales manager and director of marketing. Since rejoining Chelsea Building Products in 2008, he has been involved in marketing communications, customer service management and assisting sales in customer relations, new business and product development. In his new role, Hartman’s responsibilities will expand to include new business development in doors, windows and, in particular, Chelsea’s specialty division, developing market and product strategies for the building material industry.
