Fitts Industries, based in Tuscaloosa, Ala., says it escaped damage in last Wednesday’s horrific outbreak of tornadoes. An F4 tornado ripped through Tuscaloosa leaving 40 people dead and leaving another, hundreds more unaccounted for, while causing major damage to the local infrastructure.

“We are extremely fortunate to have remained unscathed,” says Frank Fitts, president of Fitts Industries, manufacturer of stair components. “Many of our employees had home damage and had family members who were injured. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Tuscaloosa area, as well as, all of the communities in the Southeastern United States that have been affected.”
