Crystal Window & Door Systems executive vice president Steve Chen was appointed to the board of directors for the Northeast Window & Door Association (NWDA) at the organization’s winter meeting in York, Pa, held recently. The association represents more than 130 member companies of vinyl window and door manufacturers and suppliers. (CLICK HERE for more news from the meeting).
“I am very excited to join the board of the NWDA, particularly at this crucial time in the industry,” says Chen. “The once-straightforward window manufacturing and sales business has become increasingly complex, with more stringent energy codes and efficiency standards, greater customer sophistication and awareness of product choices, and significantly more competition. NWDA provides its members with tremendous information and guides collective action on current issues, and I’m looking forward to contributing in this leadership capacity.”
In addition to this directorship, Steve Chen was recently appointed to the New York Federal Reserve Bank Advisory Council for Small Business. Locally in New York City, Steve serves on the board of directors for Queens Theatre in the Park and the College Point (NY) Board of Trade, and is a member of the Queensborough Community College Advisory Board on Continuing Education.
