Bostik Inc. Announces ConsolidationOctober 17th, 2011 by DWM Magazine
Bostik Inc. announced plans last week to consolidate its research and development resources from multiple Bostik facilities to the Bostik Americas Corporate Center in Wauwatosa, Wis. The company also announced that the site will also serve as its “Global Center of Excellence” for one of its technology platforms: Hot Melt Pressure Sensitive Adhesives (HMPSA). Additionally, the company says it will consolidate its key business management functions into the Wauwatosa location.
The plan will be implemented over a two- to three-year period and the company says it anticipates the creation of new jobs, in addition to the retention and relocation of existing Bostik personnel. Approximately 75-100 jobs will be added to the Wauwatosa site.
“By combining both in one comprehensive Technology Center, we create critical mass and scale, enabling more efficient and effective investment while enhancing our ability to leverage knowledge between technologies and markets,” says Bostik president and chief executive officer Bob Marquette.
Among those slated to relocate are technology and business professionals and managers from the company’s facilities in Warminster, Pa. and Middleton, Mass. The company adds that its continued investment in and commitment to its Middleton manufacturing plant remains firm and unaffected by this business decision.
