Associated Materials Announces Departure of CEOJune 2nd, 2011 | Category: Industry News
Associated Materials LLC announced today that chief executive officer (CEO) and director Tom Chieffe is leaving the company to pursue other interests. Current director and former CEO of Associated Materials, Dana Snyder, has been named interim CEO by the company’s board of directors. A search will be conducted immediately for a permanent CEO.
“The board wishes to thank Tom for his significant contributions to AMI over the past five years,” says Erik Ragatz, chairman of AMI’s board of directors. “Tom led a number of changes within the company that drove industry leading performance through an incredibly challenging economic environment.”
“I feel very proud of what our team has been able to accomplish,” adds Chieffe. “However, after driving change for the past five years, including our recent transition to new ownership, I am eager to spend more time with my family and eventually take on my next challenge. As a shareholder, I look forward to following the continued success of AMI under its new leadership.”
Ragatz adds that the company is pleased to have Snyder rejoin the executive team. In addition to serving as interim CEO in 2006, Snyder has served on the company’s board since 2004.
“It is an exciting time to rejoin the AMI team in an active role,” says Snyder. “With an outstanding base of dealer and distributor partners and a talented and motivated group of employees, I believe that there are tremendous opportunities on the horizon.”
