Angie Recognizes Those at Top of Her ListDecember 20th, 2012 by DWM Magazine
Several door and window companies have recently been recognized by Angie’s List as recipients of the 2012 Angie’s List Super Service Award.
According to Angie’s List, the award is an honor received by only an estimated five percent of all companies rated on the website.
At the time of press, the following businesses had accepted their awards: Accurate Window and Door, Portland, Ore., Weatherguard Windows & Doors, Indianapolis, Ind., Lifetime Remodeling Systems in Portland, Ore., DMD Window & Door by DMD Builders Inc. in Golden, Col.
“It’s a select group of companies rated on Angie’s List that can claim the exemplary customer service record of being a Super Service Award winner,” says Angie’s List founder Angie Hicks. “Our standards for the Super Service Award are quite high. Earning it speaks volumes about a company’s dedication to providing great service to its customers.”
Angie’s List says its Super Service Award 2012 winners have met strict eligibility requirements, including earning a minimum number of reports, an excellent rating from their customers and abiding by the website’s operational guidelines.
Companies are graded on an A through F scale in areas ranging from price to professionalism to punctuality. The company ratings are updated daily.
Earlier this year, DWM talked to Phil Isaacs, owner at California Energy Consultant Services, in Rancho Cordova, Calif., about Angies List and how it is a valuable marketing tool. He says the company won the Angies list award in 2010 and 2011 (at press time it has not yet accepted for 2012).
“That has been a more significant value than I anticipated,” he said. “People, especially this year, have a lot of faith in that rating. Our company is 30 years old this year, and we tell our customers it is only good as the company. We made it through a few recessions … We will weather this storm.”
We also spoke to Steve Rennekamp, owner of Energy Swing Windows in Murrysville, Pa., earlier this year about the value of various distinctions have to the customer.
“We won five awards over the past year,” he said. “That gives us a lot of validity that we do the right thing.”
