Al Delbridge to Lead Moulding & Millwork Producers AssociationMay 28th, 2013 | Category: Industry News
The Moulding & Millwork Producers Association (MMPA) recently installed Al Delbridge of East Coast Mouldings as president of the organization. Delbridge takes charge of the association’s leadership for the next 18 months with the assistance of his executive officers: vice president Pete Delaney of Port-O-Lite Corp.; second vice president Jim Cadwell of Regal Custom Moulding/Reel Lumber; treasurer Craig Young of TLC Mouldings; and immediate past president Les Baker of Best Moulding Corp.
“Al Delbridge is taking over the reins of MMPA during an exciting transitional period,” says Kellie Schroeder, CEO. “Al will oversee the association as it explores new pathways as to how the membership will interact with suppliers, distributors and home builders during MMPA programs and educational offerings.”
Celebrating 50 years as an organization in 2013, the MMPA membership is a combination of Wood, MDF and Poly moulding and millwork manufacturers supported by its supplier associate members. The MMPA has been known for its closed business meetings and member’s only programs. This year, the MMPA will stage an Industry Wide Moulding & Millwork Event inviting member and non-member sawmills, panel producers, manufacturers, distributors and homebuilders representing a 360-degree turn in how the MMPA interacts with the millwork industry.
The Industry Wide Moulding & Millwork Event takes place September 9-11, 2013, in Sacramento, Calif. The event will include a parking lot demo day of equipment and supplies, plant tours, tabletop sessions and topical forums. Each night of the event, a speaker panel will commence. The first evening leads off with a State of the Industry panel while the second panel will focus on raw material supply. The final evening will close with a distribution panel. Online registration opens June 1, 2013.
