WDMA Elects New Chairman
Dave Beeken, president of Eagle and KML Windows and Doors in Dubuque, Iowa, was elected chairman of the board for the Window and Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA) at its annual meeting in February. The association also elected members to other key positions.
Beeken moves up from vice chairman of the window division and replaces outgoing WDMA chairman Jim Hackett, vice president-sales for Jeld-Wen Inc. in Klamath Falls, Ore., who becomes immediate past chairman and a member of the board of directors.
Other board elections at the meeting include the following: Steve Tourek, senior vice president and general counsel at Marvin Windows and Doors in Warroad, Minn., moves from his director position to vice chairman of the window division. Three new members join the board as directors: Gene Miels of Oshkosh Door Co. in Oshkosh, Wis.; Mark Hermann of Homeshield in Chatsworth, Ill. (supplier); and Jeff Shilakis of Hoppe North America in Fort Atkinson, Wis. (supplier).
Remaining board members include: Steve Sisson of Karona Inc. in Caledonia, Mich.; Hal Gardner of Therma-Tru Doors in Maumee, Ohio; Rob Jablonski of Pella Corp. in Pella, Iowa; Ron Safford of Parrett Manufacturing in Dorchester, Wis.; Mike Salsieder of Kolbe and Kolbe Millwork Co. Inc. in Wausau, Wis.; Jeff Klein of Great Lakes Window in Walbridge, Ohio; Tom Kaiser of Cardinal Glass Industries Inc. in Eden Prairie, Minn., (supplier) and ex-officio member WDMA president Joel Hoiland, CAE.
Directors Harry Reichwald, executive vice president and general manager of Eggers Industries in Neenah, Wis., and George Gunia, national sales manager of National Starch and Chemical in Bridgewater, N.J., completed their terms of office on the board of directors.
Executive committee members continuing their terms include: vice chairman of the door division Rick Kon of Masonite International in Charlotte, N.C.; and treasurer Linda Semling of Semling-Menke Co. Inc. in Merrill, Wis.
