International PVC Conference Features Three from Rohm and Haas

Three speakers from Philadelphia-based Rohm and Haas are presenting technical papers during the 10th PVC Conference, being held this week, April 22 to 24, in Brighton, United Kingdom. The conference is sponsored by the Polymer Society of The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, and is taking place at “The Dome.”

Louis Sederel, Rohm and Haas director of sustainability and director of the European Laboratories, is using the example of PVC heat stabilizers to discuss how to apply the Sustainability Life Cycle Assessment (SLCA) tool, effective methodology developed by The Natural Step (TNS) in 2006.

Bernard Cora, Rohm and Haas European laboratories manager, packaging and building materials, is analyzing the key factors affecting the surface finish of extruded profiles and discuss the challenges formulators or processors would need to overcome whilst making high-gloss profiles.

In addition, Muriel Hebrard, Rohm and Haas packaging and building materials, senior research scientist, is presenting a technical paper on innovative PVC heat stabilizers.
