Jack Semling Passes Away

The Window and Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA) reports that Jack Semling, CEO and president of Semling-Menke Company Inc., passed away on Saturday, May 24 at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Semling-Menke Company Inc. is one of the founding member companies of WDMA, and Semling had served the association for many years. He served on the board from 1959-1961, 1971-1976 and 1988-1996. He was also chairman in 1973 and 1975 and treasurer from 1988-1996. His daughter, Linda Semling, currently serves on the WDMA board as treasurer.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Merrill, Wis. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery, Merrill. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Francis Xavier School, Bell Tower Residence, and the Memorial Fund for Jack Semling. Online condolences may be made at taylorstinefuneralhome.com.
