Republic Named Certified Trade Contractor by NAHB for Second Year

Chicago-based Republic Windows and Doors has been re-certified for the National Association of Home Builder's (NAHB) National Housing Quality (NHQ) Certified Trade Contractor Program for its installation program, The Republic Difference.

"We chose to make a commitment to this program because we felt that it was indicative of our responsibility to our customers and the homebuilding industry in general," said Alan Miretzky, vice president of new construction. "The results have out-proven our decision. It has made us better. While many of the practices called for by NHQ were already in place within The Republic Difference, the program has pushed us to an even higher level of formal and consistent practices."

According to Miretzky, the NHQ program has resulted in an "esprit de corps" among Republic's workforce. "They take great pride in being recognized as the best window installers. In the marketplace, homebuilders are definitely placing value in this type of certification and what it means to them from the standpoint of both homebuyers as well as others in the industry, including the insurance community. The result has been a positive impact on our business activity, both with existing and new customers."
