MGM Industries Receives Award From Vol State
MGM Industries in Hendersonville, Tenn., recently was inducted into Volunteer State Community College’s Hal R. Ramer Society for its scholarship contributions, during the foundation’s annual award banquet honoring companies and individuals for the financial support they provide to students. Volunteer State Community College is located in Gallatin, Tenn.
Abe Gaskins, president of MGM Industries, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
“Education is extremely important to the growth of our community and the success of our company,” Gaskins says. “We simply want to do what we can to help those individuals who want to improve their lives and further their education.”
MGM Industries has three scholarships available to attend Volunteer State Community College—one for MGM employees and their children, another for minority students and one for students seeking a degree in engineering. In addition to the scholarship money, scholarship recipients are offered paid internships with the company.
