MGM Industries Receives DP65 Rating on Vinyl Windows

MGM Industries' Series 8065 and 5665 double-hung vinyl windows have received a design pressure (DP) 65 rating for use in residential coastal applications. The 8065 Series also received a C65 regular commercial rating.

To receive the DP65 and the C65 rating, a window must be able to withstand hurricane force winds of up to 195 miles per hour. The tests were conducted at MGM's new in-house testing facility and verified by an independent laboratory source.

"To the best of our knowledge, no other 4-foot 9/16-inch jamb double-hung vinyl window in the industry has received either a DP65 rating or a C65 rating," said Joe Gaskins, vice president of sales.

According to Gaskins, these ratings will open up new markets to MGM Industries and vinyl window industry as a whole.

"Now that we've got the DP65 on the 8065 and 5665 and the regular commercial C65 rating, we're excited about the markets that this will open up to the vinyl window industry," explained Gaskins.
