LEED for Homes Opens for Second Public Comment Period

The United States Green Building Council (USGBC) has announced that it has opened a second public comment period on the draft of the "LEED for Homes" rating system. The second public comment period opened on August 24 and will be open through this Sunday, September 9, 2007.

The LEED for Homes pilot rating system has been in pilot phase for over a year and a half. USGBC held the first public comment period on LEED for Homes from June 13 to July 14.

USGBC says it received more than 1,100 comments during the first period and have utilized these to revise the earlier draft and develop the one that is now available for review.
