IWF Seeks Entries for Challengers Awards
The call for entries for the 2008 Challengers Distinguished Achievement Awards®, competition is underway. The deadline is April 1, 2008.
The Challengers Award®, which will be presented during IWF 2008, recognizes advancements in technology or significant contributions to environmental improvement. It focuses on companies that have distinguished themselves by developing innovative technology in products, services or manufacturing techniques. The award challenges IWF exhibiting companies to develop revolutionary, creative, ingenious, forward-thinking technology, materials, services or safety devices that advance the industry.
Presented every two years, The Challengers Award® recognizes seven outstanding exhibiting companies. A panel of judges will review and analyze each entry and decide on the top 20 entries just prior to the fair. The final judging will take place during IWF 2008 and the awards will be bestowed during a special ceremony on August 20, 2008.
“It’s the award that signifies that you have a product that will leave a long lasting footprint on the industry,” says Charles R. (Tommy) Tomkins, IWF 2008 chairman and president of Cresent Fine Furniture Company, based in Gallatin, Tenn.
IWF will hold its biennial event Wednesday through Saturday August 20-23, 2008, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
