Heritage Veneered Products Announces Key Executive Changes
Shawano, Wis.-based Heritage Veneered Products (HVP), manufacturer of WOODPORT® interior doors, has announced the recent appointment of Dan Pilon to the position of general manager. The company's former general manager, Bob Nolan, will continue as an active board member and serve as a professional business consultant in key growth-related areas. Both leadership assignments, made effective May 9, support HVP's long-term strategic plan, according to a company release.
"To meet our expansion goals, we need to be aggressive within new and existing markets," Bob Owens, president and chief executive officer of Duluth, Minn.-based Owens Forest Products, parent company of HVP, said. "We plan to continue our record double-digit growth capitalizing on Dan's depth of management experience and Bob's global manufacturing background."
Pilon, who has been involved in manufacturing for 25 years, has direct knowledge about the window and door industry. In previous roles, he was plant manager at Nortek-SNE of Mosinee, Wis., and vice president of manufacturing at Marvin Windows & Doors of Warroad, Minn. His expertise includes a strong focus on customer service, production planning, supply-chain management, purchasing, engineering and quality control with an emphasis on teamwork. He has a bachelor's degree in vocational rehabilitation and holds two master's degrees in vocational rehabilitation and management technology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Professional certifications include Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and Purchasing Management (CPM).
"I am excited to work with a team that wants to grow and has a strong commitment to its employees," Pilon said. "My career has prepared me for this exciting challenge."

manager, a marketing manager and a financial-services specialist.
