Professionals Can Now Earn Six Sigma Black Belts Online

The Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) has teamed up with Six Sigma eLearning, Inc. (SSEI) to expand its offerings to include a new online Certificate Program in Six Sigma Black Belt.

The online training class will use Voice Over IP (VoIP) technology to reach professionals who want to become Black Belts in Six Sigma. Participants can join from anywhere in the world at a time convenient to them because the course will be offered to accommodate time zones in the U.S., Europe and Asia. The course spans 10 weeks and requires application to an on-the-job project and a final exam.

"The live, online version of six sigma black belt makes this tremendously useful program available to a much wider audience," said Larry Aft, IIE's director of continuing education. "This delivery method will ultimately have significant impact on the operations of every participant organization represented in the training."

"Six Sigma eLearning Inc. is pleased to join IIE in this global training alliance. Our live online instructor-led training allows broader access to Six Sigma training within organizations and throughout the supply chain," added Brad Pogachefsky, SSEI's chief executive officer. "IIE's community will benefit from the proven Six Sigma methodology resulting in strategic, tactical and cultural benefits throughout their organizations and supply chains."
