Amesbury's Charlie Peppiatt Promoted; Will Relocate to Europe

Charlie Peppiatt has been promoted from operations manager of BSI-Balance Systems in Statesville, N.C., to a newly created position at Laird Security Systems Divisions (LSSD), effective August 2004, according to Amesbury. Peppiatt's new position will be director of business improvement for LSSD, reporting directly to Geoff Drabble, executive director of LSSD.

Peppiatt, originally from the United Kingdom, will be returning to the UK in early August, after serving Amesbury for five years. Peppiatt will be involved in a range of projects to improve the overall effectiveness of existing businesses, as well as assist with the integration of future acquisitions into LSSD/Amesbury Group. He will also be a key contact for projects requiring liaison between China, Europe and the United States.

"We would like to extend our sincere appreciation for the leadership, direction, and professionalism Charlie has provided to Amesbury Group at the Statesville, N.C., facility over the years," said Rich Koopman, Amesbury Group president. "Although it will be difficult to replace Charlie, we are currently performing a search for qualified candidates."
