AMD 2005 Annual Convention Canceled

After reviewing all possible options regarding the rescheduling or relocation of the 2005 Association of Millwork Distributors (AMD) Annual Convention, it was decided by the AMD board of directors to cancel the convention entirely.
The association has created a frequently asked questions (FAQ) page at its website at www.amdweb.com to address common inquiries regarding refunds, hotel reservations, etc. The FAQ page will be updated as additional information is received.

Prior to the AMD's announcement,Therma-Tru® Doors announced that it has elected to make a significant donation to the N.O. Relief fund via the American Red Cross in lieu of participating in the AMD trade show.

"We think our money will be better spent by supporting the victims of this incredible natural disaster as they attempt to rebuild their lives," said Carl Hedlund, president and chief executive officer of Therma-Tru. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to those families, including our customers, affected by the overwhelming damage of Hurricane Katrina."

The amount of Therma-Tru's donation to the American Red Cross will be made in light of costs that would have been associated with the AMD trade show.
