Deadline for Aluminum Design Competition Approaches

The Aluminum Extrusion Design Competition is now accepting entries for its 2004 contest. The deadline is February 27. Hydro Aluminum North America serves as sponsor of the awards which was created by the Extrusion Technology for Aluminum Profiles Foundation to promote greater understanding and use of extruded aluminum profiles, to highlight innovations and recognize excellence.

To support academic participation, Hydro is establishing the Hydro Sustainable Design Award for students, which will recognize the student entry that best addresses societal and/or environmental issues. The company will also host student visits to its U.S. facilities.

The 2004 competition is open to both students and professionals. Winners will be announced during the Eight International Aluminum Extrusion Technology Seminar and Exposition to be held May 18-21 in Orlando, Fla.
