AAMA Creates Glossary to Ensure Consistency in Technical Documents The Schaumburg, Ill.-based American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) has created a glossary to be used when referencing definitions in AAMA documents. "AAMA standards and specifications are used by thousands of industry professionals, and we wanted to ensure consistency throughout all of the documents," says John Lewis, technical director for AAMA. "Therefore, the new AAMA Glossary was assembled." He adds that the glossary will be updated continually to keep it timely with the association's documents. "Future new and updated documents will reference the glossary at the introduction of the publication," says Lewis. "Any new terms not currently included in the AAMA Glossary will be placed at the beginning as well." The AAMA Glossary (AAMA AG-07) is free and is available in the "Members-Only" area of AAMA's website, www.aamanet.org. |
