Seaway Manufacturing Corp. Celebrates 50th Anniversary

Seaway Manufacturing Corp. celebrated its 50th anniversary on Friday, May 29, with a ceremony at its plant in Erie, Pa.

Company vice president Jana Goodrichspoke about the company's commitment to pursuing new products, designs, technologies and manufacturing techniques. She said these efforts are allowing Seaway to remain healthy and strong in challenging economic times.

Ralph Pontillo, president of the Manufacturer and Business Association, commended Seaway for manufacturing energy-efficient products, which includes a full line of windows that qualify for the tax credit.

Erie County Executive Mark DiVecchio presented the company with a proclamation of congratulations, as did a representative of Pennsylvania Gov. Edward G. Rendell.
