Kolbe Leadership Presents at Manufacturing Excellence's Lean Conference

Kolbe's company president Mike Salsieder and vice president of manufacturing Jeff De Lonay are among the featured presenters at the 2008 Association for Manufacturing Excellence's (AME's) International Lean Conference. Held October 20-24 in Toronto, Salsieder and De Lonay will address leaders from 2,500 manufacturing companies. AME's Lean Conference showcases manufacturers thriving in the expanding global economy, and shares their best practices.

Kolbe's presentation is titled, "Jump into the raging river of change: How you transform an organization into a lean manufacturing machine" and is offered as part of the conference's educational sessions on "Developing Disciplined People in an Organization."

Salsieder and De Lonay will reveal how Kolbe, a manufacturer of custom door and window products immersed itself and its 1,600-person workforce to improve efficiencies and value. During the presentation, the two company leaders will share how the implementation of a lean culture at Kolbe also improved morale by developing a challenged workforce, empowering employees, and improving job satisfaction.
