Timber Products Co. Launches Green T™ Product Line

In response to an increasing demand for "green" building products, Timber Products Co. of Springfield, Ore., has introduced a new, environmentally friendly line of hardwood plywood.

The company says its new Green T™ panels meet or exceed many of the requirements of America's primary green building programs, including the US Green Building Council's LEED program. The line also meets the requirements of KCMA's Environmental Stewardship Program and meets or exceeds all federal and state requirements for formaldehyde emissions.

Green T hardwood plywood panels are made with three different core materials:

  • Green T Arreis™ is a new MDF core product produced with a formaldehyde-free adhesive system and 100 percent post-industrial recycled wood fiber. The hardwood panels provide the same performance as standard MDF core panels, but are manufactured using an innovative, no-added urea formaldehyde resin.
  • Green T Veneer Core™ uses a cost-effective no-added urea formaldehyde resin and has the same properties as Timber Products' standard veneer core products.
  • Green T Particleboard Core™ offers the same physical properties as the company's standard particleboard core hardwood panels, but uses no-added urea formaldehyde resins.
