Gorell Receives ENERGY STAR® Award for Sixth Consecutive
Year
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency have named Gorell Windows & Doors as winner of the ENERGY STAR
Partner of the Year Award for the sixth straight year.
Gorell also received the "Sustained Excellence" Award-bestowed
only on organizations that have won the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year
award three or more consecutive times-for the fourth consecutive year.
"The ENERGY STAR awards represent achievements the Department of
Energy is proud to recognize, as they represent notable progress or sustained
excellence in working to secure our energy future," says Richard
H. Karney, DOE ENERGY STAR program manager. "In 2009, our partners
receiving these awards demonstrated superb commitment to advancing the
adoption of energy-efficient products and addressing our environmental
challenges."
Gorell will be honored at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., on March
31, 2009.
"We are thrilled-and also honored-by this truly remarkable achievement.
As many in the industry know, we take ENERGY STAR very seriously, and
for Gorell, it has become the cornerstone of our commitment to energy
efficiency and the Green movement in America," says Wayne Gorell,
Gorell's president and chief executive officer.
