GED Appoints New President
GED
Integrated Solutions Inc. announced the appointment this week of Bill
Weaver to the role of president and chief executive officer (CEO), effective
October 31, 2008.
Weaver serves presently as the company's vice president of sales and marketing,
and has more than 23 years experience in the door and window industry.
He has been part of the GED team for the past 10 years. He replaces Ron
Auletta, GED's president and CEO for the past nine years, who has recently
accepted a similar leadership position outside of the window fabrication
industry, but will remain involved with the company in an advisory capacity
as a member of its Board of Directors.
"I am delighted to be passing the baton to Bill, as he possesses
the vast customer, product and industry knowledge necessary to successfully
lead GED into the future," said Auletta. "Of equal importance,
he is supported by an exceptional senior management team with over 46
years of collective industry experience and tenure at GED. Along with
our highly skilled associates, they will continue to deliver the latest
product innovations and exceptional service our customers deserve and
come to expect."
"The opportunity to serve GED in this capacity is a tremendous honor
and I am excited at the prospect of leading this organization forward
to meet the many challenges of the future," said Weaver. "With
its strong brand and global customer base, GED is a great company and
platform to build on. There is a significant need for our products and
services and a realistic long-term opportunity to develop and provide
new technology solutions that are responsive to the needs of our customers
and the marketplace."
