Precision Entry Named ENERGY STAR 2007 Partner of the Year The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy (DOE) have named Precision Entry Inc. of Sugarcreek, Ohio, as an ENERGY STAR 2007 Partner of the Year in door manufacturing. The award is for Precision's contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by manufacturing and educating consumers about energy-efficient products. The company will be recognized at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on March 21. Precision, an ENERGY STAR partner since 2002, will be honored for its leadership
in producing doors that earn the ENERGY STAR label. Precision says it manufacturers
all of its entry door systems as ENERGY STAR-qualified. "Every year the demand grows for ENERGY STAR products," said Bill Mullet, Precision's president and chief executive officer. "This is our second consecutive year of earning this prestigious award, and we will continue to work hard to design, manufacture and promote ENERGY STAR products that benefit homeowners." The award is given to manufacturers and retailers that successfully promote and deliver ENERGY STAR-qualified products, saving consumers money and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Award winners are selected from thousands of organizations that participate in the ENERGY STAR program each year. "Partners like Precision Entry are national leaders in energy efficiency,"
said Alexander Karsner, assistant secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable
Energy at DOE. "The ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award winners are leaders
in adopting energy efficient technologies for their products and practices. Their
long-term commitment to energy efficiency is good for business, the environment,
for consumers and for the country as a whole." |
